So today was meant to be our day off. However, with the poor conditions yesterday we had to make up the 23 miles we didn't do yesterday!
After a long lay in (11:00!) we finally for up, and stretched the aching legs! We checked the routes for the next couple of days, and headed off at 14:00 to make up the miles! The weather started off well and we soon clocked up the first 15 miles, however then the showers moved in, and again we got soaked! We decided to press on and just get wet, upon arrival at the hotel the kind receptionist said we could put our kit in the driers, so we quickly stripped off and handed her our kit and socks to be dried! (Still waiting to get it back!)
We then relaxed for the rest of the afternoon ready for an early start tomorrow as we had up to Lancaster!
Sorry not much happened today!!
